Repairs Inspector Required - Temporary 3 month initial and minimum length of contract - Local Authority - Mileage paid - HNC and Trade background ideal. Competitive rate of pay (negotiable)

Your New opportunity
As a Repairs Inspector, you will be an integral part of the department, contributing to the team's mission of providing efficient and quality services to the residents of the authority.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting inspections of repair work carried out and assessing and assigning jobs from customer complaint/reports
• Ensuring all works are compliant with health and safety regulations
• Managing the repairs schedule and maintaining logs - Liaising with contractors and staff to coordinate repairs
• Providing feedback and reporting any issues to the management
• Use of laptop or PDA to report defects and assign trade attention

You will have

• Previous experience in a similar role within the construction/housing sector
• An understanding of building regulations and health and safety legislation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• HNC Min
• Full driving licence
• Trade qualification(s)
