This is a first for the Early Years Sector.
You will join us as aNursery Practitionerat ourJulia Durbin Day Nursery in Headington, Oxford, primarilyto provide learning support. Your role will involve working closely with, and under the direction of, the setting s SENDCO, and will include:
- Working directly with two specific childrenwith SEND, to support their individual learning and development, in-line with any care plans that are in place for them.
- Working with a wider group of children to cover the responsibilities of their Key Person, thus enabling the Key Person the opportunity to work with specific children on a one-one basis.
This fixed-term role is being offered on a part-time basis and you will work 20 hours a week, all-year-round. Working hours are 09:00am-13:00pm Monday-Friday. The contract will end in August 2025.
We are seeking a very special person to join us in this learning support role. Someone who:
- Is naturally nurturing, caring and compassionate to others.
- Has some experience of workingon a one-one basis withchildren under five who live with SEND;experience of working with children who live with autism and/orpica is highly desirable
- Can be a positive role model to the children in their care, effectively meeting individual children s developmental and care needs.
- Enjoys contributing withina busy, team environment.
We are offering an hourly pay rate of:
- £14.31-£14.84 if you re early years qualified to level 6 or above.
- £13.50-£14.84 if you re qualified to level 3, 4 or 5.
- £11.88 if you re qualified to level 2.
- £11.77if you re not early years qualified.
