Quantity Surveyor job based in Glasgow with salary starting from £35000 and rising to £65000

Your new role :

We are looking for aQuantity Surveyor to join our team - Reporting to Senior Surveyors, ContractsManager and Directors , main duties listed :

  • Manage commercial and contractual matters from project outset to completion on a variety of projects - (Roads, Structures, Flood Prevention and Renewable Energy Projects)
  • Subcontract package procurement and management
  • Agreement of Main Contract and Subcontract interim applications and final accounts
  • Measurement take-offs and variation/change control costing
  • Value engineering
  • Creation and submission of programmes
  • Contract Administration
  • Cost forecasting and reporting

  • What you'll need to succeed :

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar;
  • Ideally previous experience in a similar role;
  • Ability to work as part of team;
  • Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills;
  • IT proficiency;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Security cleared or the ability to obtain the required level of clearance;
  • Knowledge of basic common law, contract law and standard form conditions of contract;
  • Experience with contract documentation preparation;
  • Ability to manage change control effectively;
  • Experience with contract administration, ensuring contract compliance;
  • Experience with cost forecasting and reporting.
