Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.

Our client is a well-established leading firm of solicitors based in Sheffield. They are a forward-thinking organisation and one of the leading law firms in South Yorkshire well known for delivering excellent levels of client care.

They are now looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE or Legal Executive to head up their Employment and HR Services department.

The role involves the proactive management of a varied caseload of employment matters and to undertake a leading role in the development of the department.

Responsibilities will include representing both employers and individuals on a broad range of matters including:

  • Attending tribunals and undertaking advocacy as appropriate
  • Delivering practical and tailored employment and HR advice
  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
  • Developing a marketing strategy for the department and undertaking business development initiatives
  • Supervising the provision of employment and HR services for the department
  • Delivering training to the wider department, including briefings and updates.

Who are they looking for

You will be a qualified solicitor or Legal Executives with considerable PQE and possess excellent and comprehensive employment law knowledge and have demonstrable experience of Business Development. The ability to demonstrate sound technical knowledge together with exceptional client case and excellent communication skills is essential. Experience of working with Case Management Systems and ELA membership would be beneficial.

Working hours 9.00am -5.00pm Mon-Fri (flexible e.g. 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm etc), 1 hour for lunch
Possibility of hybrid working - minimum 3 days in office
