Your new role

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across the business and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team, based at our Telford site.
The role is factory based, so you'll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical. You'll be working days and nights on a 4o4o shift pattern (06:00-18:30 and 18:00-06:30)
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer you will optimise machinery output and product quality, and minimise plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance, efficient breakdown response whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment and promoting good engineering practice.
What you'll need to succeed
• An advanced Engineering Apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical disciplines
• Solid Engineering experience, ideally within food manufacturing
• Familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment and have the ability to fault find
• Mechanical fitting skills. Machining, welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous.
• The ability to mentor colleagues
• A self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
• An individual who is keen to make a difference with their pro-activeness and a can-do attitude.
• Industrial refrigeration experience is desirable but not essential.
• Desirable IEE 17th or 18th edition
• Desirable Advanced Electrical qualification
• Desirable good knowledge of PLCs, Variable speed drives and control systems
