Service Manager

Bridgewater - Somerset

Do you have the skills and experience to lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional care?

If so, we want you to join our dynamic team as a Service Manager in Bridgewater.

What You ll Do: As our Service Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our services run smoothly and our clients receive the highest standard of care. You'll oversee and support Team Leaders, manage relationships, and ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements. Your role will include:

  • Leading and motivating a team to deliver person-centered care.
  • Managing staff inductions, shadow shifts, and ongoing training to ensure top-notch service.
  • Investigating complaints, safeguarding issues, and managing incidents and accident reports.
  • Conducting spot checks, supervisions, and annual appraisals to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Completing and reviewing support plans and risk assessments to meet individual needs.
  • Managing referrals from initial assessment to contract start date, ensuring a seamless process.
  • Working closely with the Office Manager for accurate rota planning, covering gaps and absences.
  • Participating in an on-call rota, ensuring 24/7 support for our services.
What You ll Bring: You ll need a strong background in Health and Social Care, particularly in working with people with learning disabilities and complex needs. We re looking for someone with:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A passion for delivering person-centered care.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A high standard of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, Equality and Diversity, and The Mental Capacity Act.
  • A willingness to work towards a formal QCF qualification.
