A leading investment firm are seeking a Head of Facilities & Engineering EMEA to join their team in London.

Our client are a leading hedge fund and financial services company. They are a leading investor in the world's financial markets. This is a global organisation, with offices across 3 continents. Their London office is the European hub, with multiple offices across EMEA that will fall under the remit of this role.
Your new role
As Head of Facilities & Engineering, you will lead all aspects of operational engineering activities of our global office footprint, with the major offices currently in scope being London and offices in Europe. This position is responsible for leading the execution of our clients' engineering operational strategy, reporting on performance, and driving improvements in operations and service delivery to our customers. Key duties will include:
- Serve as the key focal point at landlord buildings to ensure seamless operations under the parameters set at each building.
- Budget, lead, and manage several vendor service providers who perform daily operations in the offices.
- Guide the teams who support the movement of colleagues in the office as directed by their business operations.
- Confirm adequate controls, systems, and processes are used to effectively manage Building Management Systems (BMS) and Critical Power Systems (e.g., UPS, PDUs, and Generators)
- Management and maintain facilities to the highest levels through the vendors who support janitorial and facilities services.
- Consult on decisions related to capital projects in both new and existing office spaces.
- Lead building-related incident resolution with a cross-functional team of colleagues from technology and other stakeholders.
- Enhance systems and automation to improve the efficiency of building operations. (e.g., workflow, building management, inventory)
- Ensure that all operational procedures are documented, accurate, and available to support reliable operations.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will require a proven track record of leadership and project planning experience to include in-house and external engineers and team members in complex, dynamic environments. You will also require:
- 5+ years experience of leading engineering operations of workplace critical systems or data centre environments.
- Experience with and significant understanding of Building Management System (BMS) technical tools, capabilities, and architectures.
- Experience with and significant understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) technical tools, processes, and capabilities.
- Experience with Change Management processes
- Procedurally focused and have experience in managing incidents in critical environments.
- Engineering degree is essential
- Must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
