Approved Mental Health Practitioners (AMHP's) required for Birmingham City Council £40.18ph

Your new company
Hays are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Approved Mental Health Professional for Birmingham City Council. The post offers an excellent opportunity to be a part of the AMHP Service across the Birmingham area. As an AMHP you will be responsible for delivering an effective, efficient and high-quality daytime service.
Your new role
You will be an experienced AMHP with extensive knowledge of the Mental Health Act and mental health social work practice. You will hold high practice standards and will role model the values and behaviour expected within the role. You will enjoy supporting and developing AMHP practice AMHPs. You will be confident in supporting relationships and advocating on behalf of service users and their carers. We are a busy service offering varied and stimulating practice opportunities for AMHPs due to our diverse inner-city population and the range of specialist mental health inpatient services offered in our local area. Our service is highly respected by our partner organisations and commended for its timely response to referrals. This post is 35 hours per week.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous direct experience of delivering AMHP social work to Adult Service users is essential. You must also have knowledge of key MH legislation, be able to produce reports and maintain records. To be successful, you will require an Approved Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 years' experience.
