Teacher of Art - South Birmingham

Job Title: Art TeacherLocation: BirminghamSalary: £120-£180, per day. Dependent on experience.Contract Type: Full-time, temporary.Start Date: Immediately
About Them: We are working with a secondary school committed to providing an outstanding education for their students. The schools' goal is to achieve educational excellence but also provide dedication to nurturing the talents and aspirations of every student.
The Overview: This role starts after the October half-term. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, on a temporary, term-time-only basis. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, preparing students for GCSE examinations, and contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and art projects.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to the needs of students.
  • Develop and implement schemes in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning and contribute to the overall development of the school's creative arts program.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring the proper care and use of art materials and equipment.


  • About You:
  • You must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Art.
  • Experience in teaching art at secondary school level, with a record of achieving good student outcomes.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Art and design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
