A Disrepair Surveyor job based in Birmingham City Centre, paying £50,000 per annum

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working alongside a Birmingham-based Housing Association in recruiting a Disrepair Surveyor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced surveyor with a background in social housing to join an exceptional local public sector organisation.
Your new role
Your new role will see you carry out pre-and-post inspection surveys to identify areas of disrepair, investigating the cause of these issues and identifying repairs required. You will also:

  • Produce well detailed schedules of works required.
  • Diagnose the causes of these issues and the steps needing to be taken for repair.
  • Support with any complaints.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will:
  • Have strong understanding of building and property maintenance.
  • Have previous experience of identifying issues and areas requiring urgent work in the social housing sector.
  • Be RICS or CIOB Chartered/Qualified.
  • Possess a strong level of technical expertise, and knowledge of social housing legislation such as the Landlord Tenants Act, Environmental Protection Act, and the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023.
