Continuous Improvement Manager

£65,000 + Bonus

Monday-Friday

Remote Anywhere in the UK with 50% International Travel

My Client who are a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer/Coach to join their team.

This role will be to support their global team and will involve travel across Europe and Asia to support their manufacturing and warehousing facilities. This role will facilitate and lead the CI strategy and capability deployment in the factories and Warehouses to support business imperatives through the effective deployment of CI systems, capabilities, and methodology.

The successful candidate will support Regional Divisions, Function, and Site leaders in coordinating, developing, implementing, and tracking their Continuous improvement efforts will focus on making sustainable gains in OEE, quality, safety, cost, and delivery.

This role will be suitable for any existing Continuous Improvement Engineer/Coach seeking to work in a global position.

Continuous Improvement Engineer Requirements:

  • Experience working within a fast pace manufacturing environment
  • Minimum a Bachelor s degree
  • Experience leading large cross-functional or multi-location projects and timelines
  • Experience leading deployment of a Continuous Improvement methodology (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma) with a focus on Policy Deployment, Goal Alignment, Education & Training, etc.
  • TPM, Lean, Six-Sigma or equivalent Continuous Improvement (5 years)
  • Project Management
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement roles with a focus on engineering
  • Strong understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Ability to travel extensively across Europe and Asia.
  • Exceptional coaching and leadership skills, capable of motivating and inspiring teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus.

Continuous Improvement Manager Duties:

  • Achieve objective performance improvement results through capability building, coaching, and deployment of Lean and Six Sigma (DMAIC) tools and systems
  • Develop methodology, standards, training, pilots, and governance for Skills Development and Engagement, or Skills Leadership
  • DMAIC problem solving process
  • SMED
  • Kanban
  • Facilitate meetings, kaizen events and workshops to solve urgent business needs.
  • Establish key measures of success that tie directly to lagging performance measures.
  • Teach, mentor, and coach Divisional, Functional, and Site leaders on how to apply the appropriate roadmaps and tools to a range of priorities.
  • Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual deployment strategies, plans, and tactics
  • Build capability and deploy systems to optimize value streams and work processes
  • Network with other global and organizational leaders & to learn and share Best Practices .
