What you'll be doing;
- Perform and document maintenance, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of various control systems.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain LV electrical plant, apparatus, control gear, and variable speed drives.
- Maintain electro-mechanical plant, including pumps, fans, conveyors, cranes, and valves.
- Work with diverse instruments and maintain equipment files using CMMS.
- Understand and interpret various technical diagrams and propose improvements to plant/apparatus.
- Oversee suppliers/contractors to ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Ensure adherence to Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies.
- Assist maintenance/operation teams in achieving collective objectives.
- Provide on-the-job training to apprentices when applicable.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and perform duties in compliance with company policies and environmental, health, and safety standards.
What we're looking for;
- Completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Qualified with at least ONC or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Detailed knowledge of Electro-mechanical systems maintenance techniques.
- Good understanding of PLC & SCADA/DCS architecture and control systems.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a continuous process industry.
- Understanding of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and environmental legislation.
- Capable of manual handling, working in confined spaces, and at heights.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with staff at all levels and external partners.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, with on-call availability.
- Computer literate, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.
