Job description

Are you passionate about making every day special for young children? JC Academy is looking for an experienced and energetic Early Years Practitioner to lead as an EYFS Camp Manager during school holidays. What You ll Be Doing:

  • Leadership and Oversight: Manage and support activity leaders, ensuring all health and safety admin is completed daily, and lead fun activities that engage and inspire young minds.
  • Consistent Presence: Be there every school holiday to create continuity for the children our kids love to see familiar faces!
  • Parent Communication: Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children s attendance, keeping everyone informed and at ease.
  • Venue Management: Open and lock up venues as needed, creating a safe, welcoming environment.

What It Takes to Be Great in This Role:

  • Warm and Welcoming Personality: Your smile should make every child feel like they re the most important person in the room.
  • Creativity and Enthusiasm: Whether it s diving into a role-play of Bluey or Hey Duggee, or leading a sing-along (on or off-key!), you bring energy to every activity.
  • Good Listener and Engager: Understand and respond to what our children are thinking and feeling, connecting with each child on their level.
  • Sense of Humour and High Tolerance for Curiosity: Be prepared to answer questions about your life, pets, and lunch, sometimes more than once!
  • Essential: Qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or equivalent qualification suitable for working with nursery-aged children.
  • Essential: Previous experience in a nursery or similar childcare setting, and a passion for supporting early development.
