Lead Contracts Manager - Based in the Wolverhampton region



Your new company
You will be working for a global specialist engineering organisation who supply in to the engineering, aerospace and defence sectors. The company is currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Lead Contracts Manager to lead and develop the contracts management team.

Your new role
The Lead Contracts Manager will be responsible for the leadership and strategic development of the Contract Management team (up to 10 direct and indirect reports). The role will develop and implement strategies to maximise contract management performance and execution, which includes NPI and aftermarket. The Lead Contracts Manager will be accountable for the delivery of proposal development, contract negotiation, and contractual and regulations compliance. Additional responsibilities will include being the business contractual legal and regulations SME and ensuring the team is fully trained on all requirements. The role will partner key internal stakeholders to drive performance, profitability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a senior Contract Manager or Commercial Manager with significant experience in managing contract management teams within large and complex businesses. Previous experience in engineering, aerospace or defence is essential. You will be an engaging and inspiring people leader with a passion for development and driving high performance. You will be able to demonstrate success in the development of a contract management function, and creating creative and innovative initiatives and business solutions. You will be an accomplished internal stakeholder, and have strong communication and negotiation skills.

What you'll get in return
This role offers an annual salary of £60,000 - £80,000 DOE. The package also includes profit sharing, 6% matched pension contribution, life assurance policy (8 times annual salary), and a flexible benefits scheme. This role will be based on site with a half day finishing time on Fridays.
