Job description

Barker Ross is currently recruiting for Assembly Operatives to join our client in Falkirk.

This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.


Pay:

  • 13.00 per hour

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm
  • 1-hour break: Two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute break
  • Overtime available

Duties:

  • Work as part of a team on the production line (up to 7 operatives, including a working chargehand)
  • Use battery-operated power tools to assemble components
  • Assemble wall panels and floor cassettes (steel frames)
  • Read and follow technical plans
  • Be competent in using tape measure
  • Handle and move products (6-12kg), individually or with assistance
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards

Requirements:

  • Team player with the ability to work in a busy environment
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable
  • Strong timekeeping and attendance
  • Positive attitude, flexible, and adaptable
  • Physically fit with no underlying musculoskeletal issues

Additional Information:

  • Manual handling training provided
  • Method Statements and Risk Assessments reviewed before starting
  • Uniform provided after the probation period
  • PPE and all necessary tools provided
  • Regular drug and alcohol testing is conducted; participation is required
  • Skills test required prior to starting
