We are looking for a Sous Chef to join a busy but well organised kitchen team in Suffolk. This position could lead to promotion to Head Chef for the right individual. Perfect for those seeking more of a work - life balance!

The venue is a Bar and Restaurant and acts as a wedding venue, hosting a variety of events throughout the year.

Chef Requirements

Has a minimum of 1 years Sous Chef experience or equivalent.

Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety and Food Standards Legislation.

A quick thinker, with the ability to problem solve and multitask without compromising quality of service.

Keeps calm under pressure.

Chef Responsibilities:

Uphold food, portion control, and allergen control standards.

Ensure that all procedures are correctly carried out.

Guide and support to junior staff members.

Input into menu design and dish creation.

Order and maintain correct stock levels.

Support in conducting and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of stocktakes.

Deliver reports accurately and on time.

Maintain up-to-date records.

Control supplies and equipment and re-order when necessary.

Have an understanding and hands on approach to Marketman, Procurement and Costing software. (Ongoing training will be provided)

Support Catering Operations Manager in Training and guidance of Front of House Team where required.
