Job description

Air Leakage and Acoustic Testing Field Operative (Construction) required for permanent position at Ipswich based company. This interesting and varied role involves the air leakage and acoustic testing of residential and commercial buildings in East Anglia, the South East and London to building regulation standards (full driving licence required).

After training the successful candidate will be working independently and duties will involve:

• Operating fan sets used to pressurise a building and performing air tests on site.
• Identifying leakage paths within the structure of the building
• Advising how to seal leakage paths and assisting clients to convert an air test fail to a pass.
• Operating sound level meters and measuring acoustic performance of buildings

Applicants must:

• Be educated to degree level or equivalent (ideally in a construction, engineering or science related discipline)
• Have the ability to perform area calculations and understand technical drawings.
• Good customer service skills
• A practical, problem-solving nature.
• Full clean driving licence

Salary c£25 - £30K with potential overtime after training of up to £10K p/a. Company vehicle and phone provided. Working as part of a team of Test Engineers, the successful candidate will gain relevant qualifications and will be supported to achieve their full potential.
