Job description

NXTGEN is thrilled to be partnering with an ambitious trading group specialising in the design, development, and distribution of products who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager. As the Finance Manager, you'll be at the heart of the finance function, overseeing all management accounting and providing key insights to support strategic decisions. You'll collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the Managing Director and Finance Director, while also playing a pivotal role in supporting the finance team and liaising with external auditors. In this dynamic and evolving environment, no two days will be the same. This role of Finance Manager offers great variety and the chance to make a real impact as the group continues to expand. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts across the group, including consolidations.
  • Develop existing management information to improve KPI and trend analysis.
  • Support annual budget and forecasting processes, delivering performance reports and financial analysis.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts and cash flow processes across the group.
  • Assist with intercompany charge calculations and support both sales and purchase ledger teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, providing key financial documentation.
  • Ensure smooth operation of financial systems and controls, including VAT returns.
  • Provide additional financial analysis to support informed business decisions.

What You'll Bring:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a group setting.
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 and experience managing intercompany transactions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across departments and influence key stakeholders.
