Job Title: Commercial Brand Consultant

Location: Remote

Contract Type: 3 months inside IR35, full- or part time considered

Objective of the Project:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Brand Consultant to lead a strategic initiative aimed at addressing inconsistencies identified in our client's recent brand audit. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the protection, management, and governance of multiple international brands. In addition, you will be responsible for making recommendations and establishing a comprehensive governance model that can be rolled out globally.

This role is pivotal in aligning trademark registrations with brand guidelines and ensuring a well-structured management process for brands moving forward. A key part of the project will involve setting up a governance model-potentially using RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) frameworks-to maintain effective brand management and governance practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Brand Consultant:

  • Analyse gaps and inconsistencies identified in the recent brand audit and develop actionable solutions.
  • Create the overall brand governance strategy and recommendations.
  • Align trademark registrations with brand guidelines to ensure cohesive brand protection.
  • Design and implement a governance model, including a management process, that can be adopted globally.
  • Develop and potentially implement RACI models to ensure clear roles and responsibilities in brand management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different countries to ensure a smooth roll-out of governance practices.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations and best practices for trademark management and brand governance.

Key Requirements for the Commercial Brand Consultant:

  • Proven experience as a Brand Consultant, Brand Manager, or in a similar role with a focus on trademark management and governance.
  • Strong understanding of trademark registrations, brand guidelines, and RACI models.
  • Experience working on multi-country brand governance projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.

Preferred Experience for the Commercial Brand Consultant:

  • Experience working with commercial brands in an international setting.
  • Knowledge of trademark laws and global brand management practices.

Duration:

This is a project-based role, with an expected duration of 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs. We would also welcome applications from candidates on a part time basis, 3 days per week minimum.
