Are you an experienced Draughtsperson / Draughtsman / CAD Engineer looking for a new challenge? Based in Sunbury-on-Thames, FAAC Technologies is a leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of innovative automatic doors and entrance systems. About the Role:

As a Draughtsperson, your role will involve working closely with the sales, operations, and surveying teams to ensure every project is technically sound and ready for manufacture and installation. You will be the critical link between the sales and operations teams, ensuring that what we deliver matches our promises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify technical requirements from customer specifications, ensuring orders are accurate and complete before they move to procurement. You will ensure that projects meet all customer requirements, including dimensions, finish, and installation dates.
  • Create and modify 2D CAD drawings to illustrate product details, interfaces, and installation requirements.
  • Adjust and fine-tune quotes and project configurations in the CPQ system based on the latest construction data or site survey results. Issue any required variation orders when changes in project specifications arise.
  • Liaise directly with clients to manage expectations and update them on project progress.
  • Ensure all projects pass through a clean order process, meaning the design and technical details are correct, and the project is ready for seamless handover to the operations team.
  • Work closely with the finance team to monitor payment statuses and margin erosion, flagging any concerns that may affect profitability.

Location and Hours: Location: Based in Sunbury-on-Thames, with easy access and onsite parking. Working Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.

What We re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with CAD, particularly in 2D design within a construction or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with clients and internal teams effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, NBS specifications, and related contractual documents.
  • EN16005 is preferred, however training can be provided following a successful probation period.
