Pharmacy Assistant (NVQ Level 2) NHS Hospital in Surrey


Location: Surrey, NHS Hospital
Hourly Rate: £14 - £15 per hour

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Assistant with an NVQ Level 2 qualification?
Hunter AHP is recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant to join a renowned NHS Hospital in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while developing your skills within a supportive hospital pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the safe and efficient dispensing of medication to hospital patients.
  • Support qualified pharmacists with the preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals.
  • Organise and maintain medication supplies and stock levels.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and assist with inventory management.
  • Provide advice and information to patients and hospital staff on prescribed medications, under supervision.
  • Assist in the storage and distribution of medicines in line with NHS standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and follow all safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential).
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy assistant role, ideally in an NHS setting (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player who is adaptable and proactive in supporting the pharmacy team.
  • Knowledge of NHS systems and pharmacy practices is a plus but not essential.
