Job description

Art Teacher Brighton Permanent Full-time Part-time

Are you a qualified UK teacher who holds a QTS or QTLS?
HAYS Education are looking for an Art Teacher to work in schools across East Sussex and surrounding areas. Based in Sussex for over 20 years, HAYS education offers a high-quality supply teaching service, helping schools with day-to-day cover as well as more long-term vacancies. We are dedicated to finding you teaching work to suit your needs and availability, whether you are an art teacher wanting the flexibility of short-term work or the security of a long-term role.

Your new role:

In this role you need to be a strong, resilient teacher, working in welcoming and supportive environments that helps students and teachers grow and achieve the best in life. Helping every student find their dream, whilst also giving them the tools and confidence to achieve it.

Responsibilities:

•Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
•Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
•Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
•Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
•Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
•Mark student work promptly and provide timely feedback.

What you'll need to succeed:

-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
-Confident in delivering a topic/subject to a group.
-Ability to relate well to pupils.
-Be enthusiastic when delivering lessons to pupils.
-Good communication, team work, and organisational skills.

What you'll get in return:

Working on supply as an art teacher is an excellent way of getting your foot in the school door, for you to get to know a school and for a school to get to know you. You will benefit from working in a range of primary, secondary, and SEN schools, which can be another pathway to regular, long-term, or possibly permanent work. You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience and the responsibilities of each assignment, plus you will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year.

If you are experienced or an ECT interested in regular local supply teaching work or would like to be considered for long-term jobs, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now. If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.

If you know of other education professionals looking for supply, long-term or permanent work, you can also receive £350 worth of vouchers every time you recommend a colleague to Hays Education.
