About the role

Join our Firmware Design team based in Brighton, where you'll work with different disciplines across our development team to design and refine firmware for our products. Taking a collaborative approach you'll share your technical insight and build relationships, to deliver world-class firmware solutions.

Follow the design and feasibility plan to meet project requirements, leveraging your understanding of product ranges for successful implementation.
Collaborate closely with Development teams to share knowledge, propose solutions, and mitigate risks.
Deliver clear and timely technical updates to project teams, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Support in product discussions and provide technical insight to drive product improvements.
Work closely with the team to communicate technical changes and support to team members in their deliverables.
Understand and follow the company design processes and procedures (PCP/ECR/ECO/PLM).
Offer valuable insight to enhance product quality, through thorough review of requirements, specifications, and design.
Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems, from requirements to commercial deployment.
Review and analyse code to optimize system efficiency, stability, and scalability, ensuring smooth software delivery.
Integrate and validate new product designs, optimizing I/O performance as required.
Collaborate with Hardware Design and Development teams to align requirements, maximise performance and functionality.
Assess third-party and open-source software solutions to ensure compatibility and suitability for project needs.

What are we looking for?

Extensive recent experience within Firmware Design role, or similar.
Collaborative approach to projects and tasks.
