About the role:

The school is seeking a Science Technician to join the team in October. You will assist the Science department by setting up equipment for practical lessons, ensuring laboratories are safe, and maintaining supplies. Working closely with teachers, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. Responsibilities include ordering materials, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe disposal of used materials.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a keen interest in science and a basic understanding of laboratory practices.
• Be organized and able to manage time effectively to support lesson preparation.
• Work well as part of a team, collaborating with both staff and students.
• Have a strong attention to detail, ensuring equipment is safe and properly maintained.
• Be proactive in maintaining and ordering supplies for the department.
• Understand health and safety protocols, particularly in relation to laboratory work.
