A leading Healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team and lead Indirect Procurement across various categories. As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing indirect procurement categories, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations, and driving strategic procurement initiatives. Your role will involve managing a team of procurement professionals, guiding them to deliver best-in-class procurement solutions that align with the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Strategic Procurement: Oversee end-to-end procurement processes for indirect categories, from needs assessment through to contract negotiation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with public sector standards.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating competitive contracts that deliver value for money and high-quality services.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of procurement specialists, fostering a collaborative environment and driving performance excellence.
• Cost Optimization and Risk Management: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while ensuring procurement activities align with public sector regulations and mitigate risks effectively.

Key Requirements:

• Proven Public Sector Procurement Experience: In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex procurement processes.
• Indirect Category Management: Experience managing various indirect procurement categories, with the ability to develop and execute category strategies that drive value and innovation.
• Team Management Experience: A strong track record of managing and mentoring procurement teams, building high-performing teams, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• IT Procurement Experience: While not essential, experience in IT procurement would be advantageous.

This role is based in the modern Birmingham office, offering a flexible work environment, following a hybrid structure. Offering a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000, alongside professional development opportunities and exposure to a broad range of stakeholders within the public sector.
