Job Advertisement: Construction Assurance Manager

Join a major UK Rail/Infrastructure client on the High Speed Rail Project as a Construction Assurance Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering integrated design, engineering, and construction performance within a complex infrastructure environment. This role calls for a leader who can manage and integrate various project interfaces, coordinate with strategic and local stakeholders, and ensure compliance with all development and contractual obligations. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the Senior Construction Assurance Manager and guiding project success from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage directorate and supply chain performance to achieve cohesive project delivery in line with client standards.
  • Act as a liaison to integrate and manage stakeholder interfaces, ensuring smooth delivery of all construction activities.
  • Ensure all project requirements align with the Development Agreement, fulfilling all associated Undertakings and Assurances.
  • Provide constructability assurance and oversee risk management within the construction phases, assisting Project Managers with technical advice and expertise.
  • Conduct and coordinate safety audits and actively implement client site-based safety practices.
  • Support the NEC3 Supervisor and Project Manager by assisting in the execution of their contractual responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to assure adherence to environmental standards, construction codes, and the Code of Construction Practice.
  • Support the Senior Construction Assurance Manager in managing cross-contract interfaces and constructability requirements.
  • Contribute to the CDM Assurance Process to facilitate the release of the Hold Point Release Letter.
  • Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) through all aspects of work and adhere to client EDI policies.
Skills and Experience Required:

Assurance of construction using CVAP tool

NEC Contracts knowledge

Bridge structures and construction would be helpful

Knowledge of construction sites

Client based experience

Site Manager or supervisor previously

Experience in liaising with various parties
