Job description

Recruit Central are looking for a Fleet Controller to join our client based in Tamworth. Within this role you will be monitoring all company powered and non-powered (assets) downtime, reporting daily VOR/VNA internally, communicating with third party support partners on fleet availability & taking ownership of the admin functions relating to motor insurance claims. While Maintaining good relationships with manufacturers, repairers, and service providers organisations. Being the first point of contact for drivers, dealing with defects and repair agents.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking calls from drivers and organising the correct action to take (defected asset).
  • Closing and adding defects to Fleet Management System.
  • Monitor Vehicle Off the Road (VOR) and total Vehicle s Not Available (VNA).
  • Provide tyre information for call outs and rectification.
  • Communicating out fleet availability to other departments and stakeholders.
  • Working closely with the Fleet Team to reducing:- cost, fleet downtime and accidents.
  • Calling third party support partners: chasing fleet availability and cost for Insurance repairs.
  • Supporting the communication process for compliance documents when required.
  • Chasing invoices, Processing Purchase orders and distributing in suitable time meeting Flexigrid account periods.
  • Grey Fleet ownership admin and producing monthly report data.
  • Open initial communication for all motor insurance claims.
  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers to collate costs for insurance claims.
  • Update insurance KPI s , produce monthly reports and support any agreed correct actions.
  • Promote Golden Hour around insurance communication from site level to insurance broker.
  • Any other duties that are deemed necessary to support the Fleet/ Logistics Operation

Experience:

  • IT proficient in office 365 and be able to demonstrate experience especially within Excel (Pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting and worksheet designs).
  • Demonstrate the ability to liaise and adapt own interpersonal/ communication style when dealing with internal colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Have experience working in a fast-paced and high-pressured office environment
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to multitask effectively while managing a high volume of work across fleet and operations, often under tight deadlines.
  • Logistics and/ or fleet / transport experience

This is a full-time position with a shift of 4 on-4 off rotation, with the need to cover the other fleet controller s role. With so flexibility is key to this position.

Salary: up to £30,000 with £1,000 bonus based on performance.
