Support Workers Swansea Full Time £11.92 which is = to £26,263.44 per annum

Hafan Saff is a provider of Children and Young Persons Residential Services. Established in 2013 we are a privately owned company which currently runs four services and is in the process of establishing a fifth.

We are committed to high quality, care, and support and to developing an engaged and professional staff team. We achieve this by proactively developing the skills and experience of our staff through regular supervision, ongoing support, training, and a competency-based appraisal process.

We are currently seeking to recruit Leaving Care Support Workers at our home in Swansea. The home provides medium to long-term placements for young people aged between 16 and 18 and the objective is to support and prepare them in their successful transition from care.

Are you the right person for us?

  • You will ideally have experience of working with children & Young People and work towards the sector qualifications (QCF 3 Children & Young People)

What will your role as a Support Worker look like?

  • To assist the manager in the day to day running of the home
  • You will be required to sleep in and for parts of the day work on your own without direct supervision. Support is available to staff 24/7
  • To provide a caring and supportive environment for young people
  • To assist in the formulation and implementation of their care/pathway plans
  • To maintain standards within the home and provide a caring and supportive environment in which young people will feel safe
  • To act as a positive role model
  • To maintain written records/reports on young people s behaviour and attitude which can be used in casework conferences and/or Court Proceedings
  • To undertake and promote domestic duties in the home and ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home/grounds
  • To ensure that statutory regulations and other policies and procedures are implemented
  • To ensure the needs of the young people are met
  • To attend staff meetings and supervision sessions and attend all training as required. QCF 3 training if required
