Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:
Vehicle Integration Engineer - Automotive - 25.53/hr (Inside IR35) - Solihull - Initial 3 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Position Description:
The Vehicle Architectures & Vehicle Engineering (VAVE) Team are responsible for driving delivery of vehicles which meet our client's customer needs. This role within the (VAVE) team is critical to the engineering integration and delivery of the Electrical Modular Architecture (EMA) architecture into future vehicle applications.
This is a high visibility role interacting with multiple engineering and business stakeholders including external to the client
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Leading cross functional integration reviews to demonstrate evidence of goodness across architecture and vehicle systems, ensuring failure modes resolved and lessons learned applied
- Work with Central Systems Integration (CSI) to ensure compatibility of architecture & vehicle systems to deliver customer features to quality
- Work with all Vehicle Attribute leads to ensure compatibility of attribute development activities to demonstrate the highest level of engineering verification integrity by the appropriate engineering milestones
- Lead the coordination and delivery of engineering activities to overcome incompatibilities
- Ensure the development of the architecture toolkit maintains compatibility with the architecture bandwidth and vehicle targets
- Support the simplification of our EMA technology toolkit and technical delivery activities.
- Contribute to the technical input and reporting out in key technical meetings
Skills Required:
- Technical knowledge and experience of key automotive vehicle systems and integration
- Relevant degree and experience in engineering or another highly technical discipline.
- Proven ability to work with technical data and x-functional teams to resolve technical problems.
Experience Required:
- Experience of technical analysis and demonstration of employing best-in-class processes wherever possible
- Technical knowledge and experience of complex product systems and interactions.
- Proven ability to work with technical data and x-functional teams to resolve technical problems.
- High level of IT literacy and proficient in the use of O365 tools
- Experience of working within an automotive engineering environment
- Proven experience of demonstrating core foundation engineering principles to technical problems.
- The ability to present data clearly and precisely to support decision making.
- Relevant degree and experience in engineering or another highly technical discipline.
Experience Preferred:
- Technical knowledge and experience of key vehicle systems, whole vehicle engineering and vehicle integration
- Working knowledge of vehicle programme and project delivery processes
- Working experience of systems engineering
- Working knowledge of CAD systems (3DX) to drive geometric integration
- Working Knowledge of attributes and signoff procedures
- Experience of working within a vehicle launch environment
- Knowledge of project time line management and understanding of critical path (PCDS / CCDS)
- Working experience of the different phases of a product development cycle from concept to production
- Familiarity with some client engineering tools (i.e. AIMS, RMDV, JIRA, TRM/XRAY, 3DX)
- Experience of Agile scaling or scrum methods, JIRA & Confluence
- Aiming for (or achieved) chartered status and seeking necessary broader business experience.
Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
Hybrid working: Min 3 days in office.
