Part Time Assistant Manager (Private Members Club)

About us

Bell Cornwall Recruitment are supporting a busy members club in Walmley, Sutton Coldfield with near 700 members. They have two bar areas, one a members only section and another concert room which we have events spread over 7 days a week.

What we are looking for

The job opening we have is for a minimum of 25 to 30 hours per week with the possible increase to 40 subject to club requirements and your availability. We offer great rates of pay, a friendly warm atmosphere and overall, a great place to work.

This job role is for experienced bar staff only. Previous management experience advantageous all though full training will be provided.

Working hours vary. Availability needs to be over 7 days per week, days and evenings (and you must be able to work at least 2 of the 3 busy shifts over the festive period (Xmas Eve, NY Eve, Xmas Day)

Part Time Assistant Manager (Private Members Club)

Main Purpose of Job:

To serve customers ensuring an exceptional standard of service is provided to all. Cover for bar manager in their absence (full training provided).

Responsible to:

Bar Manager.

Main Tasks of Job:

  • Sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of beverages with customers.
  • Re-stock bar when required ensuring stock is rotated.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment including cleaning down at the end of shift so bar is ready for next opening.
  • Contribute to the team effort.
  • Liaise with all bar personnel and customers politely.
  • Competently record sales using the till system Club Control (full training provided).
  • Maintain appropriate records relating to: wastage, consumption, ordering and returns.
  • Respond promptly to matters raised by members or their guest. Ensuring that all issues are dealt with and recorded and submitted to the office for review by the management committee.
  • Deputise for the Bar Manager when required (full training provided).

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the club and the overall business objectives. Full training will provided for anything outside of the described role.
