Job Title: Headteacher
Location: Amesbury, Wiltshire
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
About Us:
We are thrilled to be opening a brand-new SEN school in Amesbury, Wiltshire, with a capacity for 42 pupils. As a forward-thinking educational institution, we are focused on providing a nurturing environment for primary aged students with complex needs including SEMH. The school is scheduled to open its doors in June 2025, but we are looking for a Headteacher who can start January 2025 (negotiable).
Role Overview:
As a Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading our new school. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in educational leadership, particularly in the field of SEN, especially SEMH. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students facing educational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Educational Leadership: Lead the strategic development and day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
SEN Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Special Educational Needs, primarily Autism, with the ability to effectively support associated learning needs.
New School Set-Up: Contribute to the establishment of a successful and vibrant learning environment in a brand-new school setting.
Hands-On Approach: Be actively involved in the school community, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Headteacher Experience: Proven experience as a Headteacher with a successful track record in educational leadership.
SEN Focus: Strong background in dealing with Special Educational Needs, primarily Autism, and associated learning needs.
Independent School Understanding: Familiarity with the dynamics of independent schools and a hands-on approach to school management.
