Wiltshire Reablement - Empowering Independence

Become a pivotal member of our Reablement Team and have a positive impact on individuals' lives following illness, injury, loss of confidence or hospital admission.

Reablement offers Occupational Therapists the unique opportunity to work proactively with customers in their own homes to achieve greater independence, promote their well-being and minimise long-term care needs.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will conduct strengths-based assessments, work with customers and their families to design and implement creative reablement plans to enable them to achieve their goals.

The Reablement Service is led by occupational therapists alongside occupational therapy assistants and support workers, and benefits from support from our Principal Occupational Therapist. The occupational therapy role is highly valued within Wiltshire Council, and we provide a unique opportunity to work in a team managed by an occupational therapist in a service that offers a range of opportunities for career progression including regular training, coaching and leadership programmes.

Due to internal career progression, we currently have two occupational therapist vacancies at different levels in our Chippenham-based Reablement Team.

Level 2 Occupational Therapist - £34,834 - £36,648 per annum: Role description and person specification

For the Level 2 post you will need to hold a professional qualification in Occupational Therapy or have a qualification pending. Applications will be considered from students due to qualify in early 2024.

Level 3 Occupational Therapist - £42,003 - £44,084 per annum (Inclusive of 12.5% market supplement: Role description and person specification

For the Experienced Occupational Therapist position we're looking for applicants who hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy, along with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience.

Holding a valid full UK driver's license is essential for both positions, as you'll be conducting visits to clients in their own homes or other settings, such as hospitals.

The Experienced Occupational Therapist position comes with a 12.5% market supplement payment. All market supplement payments are subject to review on an annual basis.
