Senior Support Worker Supported Living Service for Children (Ages 5-18)
Location: Swindon
Salary: £25000 - £27000 per annum + Bonus
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Swindon. Our supported living service provides a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 5-18, empowering them to develop essential life skills and thrive.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Support Worker
  • Provide hands-on, high-quality care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care plans.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for support staff, promoting best practices and positive attitudes.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of care plans to meet each child s needs.
  • Support the Team Leader in overseeing the day-to-day running of the service, including staff supervision and rota management.
  • Ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed, responding effectively to any concerns.
  • Encourage and promote independence, helping children to build confidence and develop essential life skills.
  • Communicate effectively with families, schools, and other professionals to support the children s development.
What We re Looking For in a Senior Support Worker
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years working in a care or supported living setting, ideally with children and young people. Experience in a senior or supervisory role is desirable.
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and relevant regulations.
  • Personal Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting children to achieve their goals.
