Team Leader Supported Living Service for Children (Ages 5-18)
Location: Swindon
Salary: £(Apply online only) Per annum + Bonus
Contract: Full-time, Permanen

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people who can show challenging behaviour? Do you have the skills to lead and inspire a team? If so, we want you to join our Supported Living Service in Swindon!

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day running of our supported living service for children aged 5-18. Our service provides a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where children can thrive, develop essential life skills, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of the Team Leader role
  • Lead, manage, and support a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Ensure the service operates in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain individualized care plans for the children and young people in your care.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and development of each child.
  • Manage staffing rotas, oversee training, and provide regular supervision to the team.
  • Build strong relationships with families, schools, and other professionals to support the needs of the children.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and welfare of all children.
What We re Looking For in a Team Leader
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a care or supported living setting, ideally with children and young people.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). A Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Children and Young People's Services is desirable or willingness to work towards it.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Knowledge: Sound understanding of safeguarding, child development, and regulatory requirements.
  • Personal Attributes: Compassionate, resilient, and committed to empowering children and young people.
