Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator proficient in working with Fanuc controls. This role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes to produce small to medium batch parts from various materials. You will download programs from a CAD/CAM system or write programs directly at the machine, ensuring precision and adherence to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate a range of CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
  • Download CNC programs from a CAD/CAM system or create programs directly at the machine as needed.
  • Machine precision parts in small to medium batches, maintaining high standards of accuracy and finish.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce components that meet design and quality requirements.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections using all relevant measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
  • Adjust machine settings and modify programs to optimize production and ensure quality output.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to achieve efficient workflow and meet deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes, particularly with Fanuc controls.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems and the ability to modify programs at the machine.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Competence in using measuring equipment for accurate quality inspections.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality precision parts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a productive and collaborative environment.
