Hays Senior Finance are working in partnership with a global manufacturing organisation based in Worcester as they look to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on an interim basis to cover a period of maternity leave.

Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the financial activities of the European region including financial reporting, audit, taxation and treasury, payroll, general ledger and compliance.
Main duties:

• Responsibility for month-end including the review of GL journals, balance sheet reconciliations and control files
• Undertake all monthly reporting responsibilities including the preparation of monthly management accounts, profitability reporting, flash reports etc.
• Manage the year-end audit, statutory accounts and tax return preparation for all entities within the European region
• Monthly and annual ONS submissions
• Management, co-ordination, consolidation and submission of the annual budget
• Manage the finance team providing coaching, training and mentoring
• Co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of the financial accounting, AP and AR teams
• Treasury and transaction management - liaison with banks, daily cashflow forecasting, review of monthly bank reconciliations etc.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with significant post-qualification experience
  
• Strong technical background including knowledge of UK GAAP
  
• Highly skilled at establishing accounting processes and internal controls
  
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferably multi-entity)
  
• Excellent IT skills and strong working knowledge of SAP (S4Hana highly advantageous)
