Automotive Lecturer no teaching experience required

Mondays-Thursdays 25 hours per week but can be flexible on hours

Are you looking to come off the tools and move into a less physically strenuous role? Are you a qualified in the Auto motor industry and passionate about seeing quality apprentices coming through into the sector?

If so we have an amazing opportunity to work as an Automotive lecturer and the best thing is the government are currently offering a £6000 per year tax free incentive for the next two years for automotive professionals to move into teaching!

This automotive role starts as a temporary position, but there s a chance it could become permanent if everything goes well. While it s temporary, you d be paid a day rate equivalent to £45k annually. If it stays temporary, that rate continues. If it moves to permanent, the salary and benefits will be adjusted to the below

What is in it for you?

  • £33,000 - £38,244/annum (depending on experience) + £6000 from the government per year tax free for the first 2 years for joining education for the first time (making it a total if £12,000 on top of your salary )
  • Excellent holiday allowance 49 days off per annum
  • Enrolment to teachers pensions with a HUGE employer pension contribution of 28.68% of your annual salary
  • The college will pay for and support you with undertaking a teaching qualification

About the Role:

You will be working in state-of-the-art facilities, with leading local construction firms to help train up the next generation of students working in the Automotive industry through their apprenticeships.

  • Delivering practical and theory lessons to diploma level 1-3 Automotive apprentices
  • Developing learning resources, managing classroom behaviour etc.

Who are we looking for?

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 in an automotive engineering subject
  • English and Maths GCSE (4/C or above) or L2 functional skills or equivalent
