Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation Lawyer

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council

Hybrid working arrangement

36,648 - 47,420 per annum (pay award pending)

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be recruiting for a Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation Lawyer to join their growing legal services team on a permanent basis!

Key responsibilities for the Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation role:

  • Dealing with a range of criminal prosecutions matters on behalf of Barnsley Council.
  • Taxi licencing and enforcements.
  • Alcohol licencing and licencing appeals.
  • Licencing committees.
  • Trading standards and Fraud matters.
  • Debt recovery.
  • Advocacy at court.

Experience required for the Prosecutions and Regulatory Litigation Lawyer role:

  • We would be extremely interested in hearing from candidates with a private practice or public sector background.
  • We're not expecting candidates to have experience in all of the above, exposure to one or more areas would be desirable. We encourage candidates from a range of background and experience to apply as Barnsley Council has excellent training and development opportunities for candidates.
