The Norsea Terminal is currently recruiting for a Procurement Team Leader (Staff Position) due to a retirement within the Team expected start date May/June 2023. Reporting to the Finance and Procurement Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Supply Chain Professional who has managed a team of Contracting and Purchasing specialists, or someone with a high level of knowledge and experience in Materials and Services procurement who is ready for their next challenge in a leadership position. We are looking for someone who has strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders who can create and add value through involvement in day to day and strategic business resource planning and operational efforts. Main duties and responsibilities of the role Management and development of the Procurement and Warehouse groups, ensuring appropriate skills are available and deployed to the business Procurement and contract planning, reporting, contract management, negotiations and execution of materials and services procurement to meet business needs Proactively engage with key internal clients to develop procurement plans and strategies, maximise results and deliver on business goals and targets Carry out vendor selection, negotiation, and contract development and present to relevant management approval forums as appropriate Ensure metrics are in place, and monitored, to drive continuous improvement Drive and/or support global and regional Procurement improvement projects and initiatives as appropriate Determine and prepare long term Procurement project plans and budgets Competency requirements Business degree or equivalent Essential Professional member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply Essential Significant experience within a commercial or contracting environment Essential Knowledge of procurement, warehouse, and inventory management processes Essential Demonstrate effective interpersonal, leadership skills and supervisory competence Essential Experienced user of Microsoft packages and SAP Essential Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate Essential With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
