The Bridge IT has partnered with a fast-growing organisation near Halifax to recruit a Senior Cloud Systems Analyst. This is an exciting time to join as our client is expanding rapidly and transitioning from an on-premises setup managed by an MSP to a fully Azure-based infrastructure.

This role is ideal for a seasoned cloud professional with extensive experience in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, optimising performance, and ensuring operational security. As a Senior Cloud Systems Analyst, you will take charge of the day-to-day administration of the Azure environments, managing resources, monitoring systems, and supporting cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimise Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking.
  • System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions and resolve system issues, such as performance bottlenecks and outages.
  • Automation & Scripting: Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Bicep.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for critical Azure services.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure security best practices and compliance by managing Firewalls, encryption, and conducting regular security audits.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, with at least 3 years focused on cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven ability to manage and support key Azure services, including VMs, networking, storage, and security.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex system issues.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other Scripting languages for automation and administration.
  • Expertise in networking concepts, including DNS, VPN, load balancing, and Firewalls.
  • Experience in designing backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure.
  • Familiarity with Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, and other Azure security tools.

Desirable Certifications:

  • ITIL Certification
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (preferred)

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000, alongside a 10% bonus and 28 days of holiday, and the opportunity to play a key role in their ongoing growth and digital transformation strategy.
