Payroll Officer Huddersfield Permanent

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a large not-for-profit organisation based in Huddersfield who are looking to recruit an addition to their payroll team. This role will serve a key function in the processing of their main payroll, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments for 2,000 members of staff.
Key areas of focus for this role will be:

  • Processing payroll for different departments, responsibility for the set areas. This will include; processing all starter and leaver documentation, contractual changes, creating and amending staff records using the integrated HR and payroll systems,
  • Processing sick pay, maternity leave, and time sheets.
  • You will also be responsible for any payroll queries and checking all the payroll data.
  • Provide support to the Payroll Team Leader to ensure the completion of all key monthly and annual payroll processes.
To succeed in this role, you will need a background working on payroll. You will also work on payroll processing once, both weekly and monthly. You will be someone who is used to a busy environment, a good team player, with good attention to detail and communication skills.
