Salary: Up to £52,800 Pro Rata

Role Overview:

As a Senior Specialist Physiotherapist, you will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist neurorehabilitation services. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating people with acquired brain injuries across three key pathways: Neurobehavioural, Neurorestorative, and Well-being. You'll be responsible for developing tailored treatment plans, delivering effective interventions, and liaising with a wide range of professionals, family members, and service users.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Specialist Physiotherapist:

  • Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and create tailored treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, adjusting as needed based on individual progress and team discussions.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring physiotherapy input aligns with service goals.
  • Provide specialist advice and engage in problem-solving within your clinical area of expertise.
  • Safely manage challenging behaviours, including physical aggression, mental health disorders, and more.
  • Identify and manage physiotherapy equipment and devices, referring to other services where necessary.
  • Record and track treatment outcomes, ensuring accurate data entry into standardised systems.

Requirements for Senior Specialist Physiotherapist:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience in neurorehabilitation or related fields (e.g., learning disabilities, mental health, MSK).
  • Ability to perform complex neurophysiotherapy assessments and develop specialist treatment plans.
  • Strong commitment to professional development and evidence of continued learning.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance principles.
