Job description

Leading and managing the team to deliver the street lighting service including managing budgets and resources.
Leading the preparation of street lighting and electrical design.
Undertaking the relevant duty holder's role under the Construction Regulations 2015, in particular, Designer / Principal Designer.
Preparing estimates, technical reports, feasibility, studies, design specification and contact documents, and carry out Project management to include programming and cost monitoring.
Preparing and producing environmental Impact awareness reports, economic assessment and business cases.
Contributing to compliance with the Quality Management Systems including site specific audits.
Working on a daily basis with Councillors, MP's and other stakeholders ensuring a prompt and comprehensive response.
Engaging with clients, external partners, the councils internal construction team, Northern Power Grid and sub-contractors to provide and ensure a high quality service and performance.
Managing the day-to-day street lighting inventory ensuring timely and accurate updates of the inventory so as to reflect energy savings and reduction of the carbon footprint.
Managing and monitoring the street lighting energy budget.
