Role: Change and Release Manager

Location: Middlesbrough (Hybrid, 2-3 days in the office)

Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 per annum

About the Role:

As the Change and Release Manager, you will manage and control changes across the company's technology landscape. You will work closely with Engineering, Customer Support, Professional Services, and IT teams to coordinate and oversee all change and release activities. You'll lead the Change Advisory Board, ensuring risks are assessed, changes are tested, and schedules are aligned to meet operational needs, while keeping stakeholders informed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Support, and IT teams to oversee change and release activities.
  • Lead the Change Advisory Board, ensuring proper risk assessments, testing, and scheduling of changes.
  • Authorise changes, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
  • Communicate change schedules to Customer Support teams and ensure customers are given appropriate notice.
  • Define and implement change management strategies tailored to complex IT ecosystems.
  • Provide guidance on best practices to ensure change management is Embedded in product and service design.
  • Analyse failed changes, implement improvement plans, and ensure lessons learned are integrated into future processes.
  • Produce summary metrics and reports on change activities for senior management.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in change and release management, including process improvements.
  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards (eg, ISO20000, ISO22301, ISO27001).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing change within medium to large organisations with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • ITIL Certification.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, auditable deliverables.
