Assistant Management Accountant - Part Qualified - Sheffield - On Site - Up to £32,000

My client, a manufacturing company based in the Sheffield area, are looking for a Part Qualified Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team.

Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Manage the month-end process to deliver timely and accurate information.
• Balance Sheet reconciliation and journals
• Assist with Accruals, Prepayments and Maintain Fixed Asset Register
• Quarterly VAT returns
• To assist in other ad hoc tasks and provide cover to other finance members when required.

What you'll need to succeed

• AAT 4 qualification - looking to become qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Study support is available for the right candidate and circumstances.
• Previous experience in a management accounting role, analysing data and maintaining tight control of reconciliations or relevant experience in accountancy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (manipulation and analysis of data, Pivot Tables and lookups, at a minimum) and other Office applications.
• Ability to efficiently perform daily, weekly and monthly tasks, independently and manage and prioritise your own workload.
