Job description

Are you an experienced Early Years (EYFS) practitioner with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism? Tradewind is currently seeking a dedicated Level 3 Early Years specialist to join us to work as part of an amazing team at a Nursery setting in Wakefield as an EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA), working actively and engaging with young learners starting after the October half term, Tuesday 5th November 2024.

About the Role:

  • Full-time position in an Early Years setting within a Wakefield school, with Wednesday mornings off.
  • Start Date: Tuesday 5th November 2024
  • Long-term position running at least until the Christmas holidays potentially longer for the right person.
  • Primarily based in the specialist SEN provision at the Nursery supporting children with Autism.
  • Competitive pay rate ranging from 84 to 96 per day, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Running interventions and leading activities tailored to meet the needs of children with Autism.
  • Actively engaging with children throughout the day, encouraging participation and supporting development.
  • Collaborating closely with a strong Early Years team to ensure inclusive and supportive learning.

To be Successful in This Role, You Should:

  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Possess experience working in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting, especially with SEN.
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, with Level 3 preferred.
  • Be prepared for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a comprehensive CV with detailed employment and education history of 10 years, including explanations for any employment gaps.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
