Position Overview

The Marketing Manager EMEA will work with the Senior Business Manager EMEA, the Indirect markets and with the Medical, Marketing and Market Access International Team to support the development and execution of the marketing and training plan in EMEA including projects associated with promoting and educating key customers and patients.

He/She will work with the different internal stakeholders to conduct assessment of the local business opportunities, establish the key goals in prioritized markets and support the development of the Business plan with focus on the key markets.

The ideal candidate has a good Marketing experience in Oncology/diagnostic therapeutic area in the Region. He/She is flexible, with an entrepreneurial mind set, the ability to work autonomously, and a strong willingness to work in a very dynamic/customer centric organization with strong integrity and focus on Oncology. Success in this position will require attention to detail and the ability to carry out multiple tasks in parallel.

The position reports to the International Director, Indirect Markets and works in close cooperation with Manager and inter-departmental stakeholders.

Preferred location: Warsaw, Poland. An alternative EU location (Italy or Germany) could also be considered.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Collaborate with the EMEA team in the development of the yearly Brand Plan; obtain information from the local teams to craft country-level marketing plans, prioritizing countries according to the strategic goals for the territory.
  • Support execution of marketing programs for personal or non-personal promotion, including but not limited to sales materials, healthcare provider-facing medical education or advertising, and consumer advertising; collaborate with business partners and other members of the marketing team including Customer Experience, Partnerships, Product Lifecycle, and Corporate Affairs, and with external partners, agencies, or vendors.
  • Support event logistics for commercial events, tradeshows, product theaters, conferences, and marketing partnership events as needed; partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations as appropriate.
  • Support fulfillment of marketing materials to partners' field sales force; partner with others in Marketing and Commercial Operations to coordinate reprinting, coordinate changes to materials including cross-functional review and ensure that the libraries of materials available to business partners are complete, approved and up to date.
  • Support regulatory, medical and legal review of all marketing materials.
  • Attend outside meetings and prepare reports as needed. As requested, create internal memoranda and presentations.
  • Ensure training material is updated and delivered to our partners and support training plan.
  • Support the Business Manager in providing strategic direction for the Indirect markets in EMEA in advancing our corporate presence and widening the market for Exact Sciences portfolio.
  • Be part of an effective governance mechanisms of distribution partners.
  • Define priorities, timelines and overall business plan in line with the high level strategy for the Region.
  • Work with the different internal stakeholders to conduct assessment of the local business opportunities, establish the key goals in prioritized markets and support the development of the Business plan with focus on the key markets.
  • Keeps abreast of market and environmental changes by gathering competitive intelligence and provide input to the overall long range and operating corporate plans.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and professional organizations in the Region.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing or related field. Equivalent qualifications will be considered.
  • Self-starter, ability to manage simultaneous complex tasks, autonomous, entrepreneurial and ability to work in a start-up organisation.
  • Proven analytic skills.
  • Healthcare market experience (experience in Oncology is a strong plus).
  • Experience with distributors in the EMEA Region.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Proficient in using MS office, spreadsheets, databases, Internet/World Wide Web etc.
  • English fluency; other languages a plus
  • Excellent judgement, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Discrete, confidential and tactful. Quick thinker with a good sense of urgency.
  • Brings a positive mental attitude to daily tasks and becomes a net contributor to overall morale.
  • Strategic thinker, innovative & resourceful with potential for advancement as the Company grows.
  • Able to prioritise and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.

Travel Requirements / Location

  • Travel Requirements: 50%+ Travel.
  • Location: Warsaw (Poland). An alternative EU location could also be considered.
