Job Description The Program Scheduler will be responsible for building and implementing decision support systems that use scheduling best practices for program planning. This position will be responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving a dynamic Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for multiple engineering projects. This position will work closely within a team that includes engineering, technical services, program management, finance, and inventory. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Determine the most appropriate platform for building the IMS given the nature of the work and the existing software platforms in the business unit. Build an IMS for the Kratos SRE Thermo-Structural Systems Department.
Work with engineers and customers to continuously update and maintain the IMS and provide accurate completion dates. Evaluate how changes will affect critical milestones across all projects.
Coordinate with the schedules of the machine shop and laboratories and with other departments sharing those services.
Continuously improve the schedule by mining performance data to adjust schedule assumptions and schedule margins.
Track critical performance metrics of projects and provide continuous improvement feedback.
Develop decision support system tools to automate tasks related to schedule, progress monitoring, and measuring key performance metrics. Other Job Functions Apply basic and advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, software and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization.
Work semi-independently with managerial guidance to accomplish tasks.
Perform other duties as may be required by manager. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibility. Experience and Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Experience in developing and maintaining resource-loaded schedules.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required Qualifications: US Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance at a level equivalent to Department of Defense (DOD) SECRET
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or other related business discipline, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office products including MS Project
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in industrial engineering
At least five years of scheduling experience in the manufacturing, logistics, or service sector
Project management training
Experience using Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Project
Programming experience to build out intranet tools preferred.
WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position involves work in an office and laboratory environment and could require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including: Safety glasses
