Our team values collaboration, compassion, and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team.

Job Summary:
As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist patients in their rehabilitation journey, and promote recovery and mobility. This is a flexible, as-needed position that may require varying hours, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment, communicating any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and strategies for maximizing recovery.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practices.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in Alabama.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and adapt to changing patient needs.
