What You Will Be Doing

In this Senior Tax Accountant role, you will be responsible for preparing complex tax returns for businesses including, but not limited to, S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, non-profits, and reviewing the preparation of income tax returns prepared by Staff I or Staff II.

You will also be asked to assist with the coordination of engagements including client contact, staff requirements, documentation, and timing, and work with more experienced team members to research and solve difficult tax issues to develop the best solutions for clients. This will allow you to begin building strong client relationships to be viewed as a trusted advisor, and it will help you obtain skills to promote the firm, attract new clients, and expand business with existing clients.

Last but not least, you will need to supervise activities of less experienced staff while working on special projects.
What You Need for this Position

At least 2 years of public accounting experience with:
- BA or BS degree in Accounting or a related field, from an accredited college/university.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good judgment and professional skepticism.
- Excellent analysis and observation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers, staff, and clients.
- Knowledge of accounting software packages and MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
